Our Story

We cook dinner every night. Dillr is the tool we wished we had.

Why we’re building this

We have kids, and our household eats fish but no dairy, eggs, or meat. Fish recipes always call for butter or cream. Vegan recipes skip the fish entirely. No checkbox on any recipe site covers that. It’s what pushed us to start building.

But the dietary thing was just the start. One of us can never find the right recipe at the right moment. The other can’t get through one without a minor crisis. We both love to experiment, but when you’re cooking for the whole family it’s hard to take risks. And when something does work like the swap that saved a dish, or the extra lemon zest that made it click, we’d forget by next Tuesday and start from scratch.

We wanted something that remembers what we tried, what worked, and what the kids actually ate. So we built it.

The team

Two home cooks outside Stockholm who don’t have the luxury of winging dinner. We cook at home every night and use Dillr every day.

Can’t follow a recipe without tweaking something. Half the time it’s on purpose, half the time I just forgot to read ahead. Either way, the dish never comes out the same twice.

Bootstrapped and independent

Dillr is self-funded. We’re a small team building something we use ourselves, and that’s how we like it for now.

We ship often, we cook with it every night, and we listen to the people who use it.
